50 Yard Range Firing Line

50 Yard Range Facility has several shooting benches available.

NOTICE:  ALL RANGES ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAY MORNINGS UNTIL 12 NOON AS A COURTESY TO LOCAL CHURCHES. RIFLE RANGES ARE CLOSED DURING THE 1 PM TO 3 PM SCHEDULED SKEET RANGE TIME ON SUNDAYS – ALL OTHER FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR USE 

WHEN THE SKEET RANGE IS IN USE, ALL RIFLE RANGES ARE CLOSED – NO EXCEPTIONS!

50 Yard Range Target Line. Spools are for use when the firing line is moved closer to the targets.

All ranges are closed for the entire day on Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Christmas Day if it falls on a Sunday..

50 and 100 yard Rifle Ranges Standing Rules

100 yard range has 2 shooting benches available. This range is shared with the skeet range.

THINK SAFETY – – ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WEAPON AND TARGET BEFORE FIRING.

· All targets must be placed on the target line and not closer to the firing line. Attach targets to target board and not to wooden target frame or railroad ties. The cable spools are not to be used as targets or target holders.  

· The firing line must be moved closer to the target line when shooting at shorter distances. The wood spools are to be used as tables and rests only and may be moved as needed. 

· Shooting hours are 1 hour after sunrise to legal sunset. No night shooting. No shooting on Sunday morning before 12:00 noon. No shooting on Sunday afternoon when the skeet range is open.

The 100 yd range target holders are to the left of the block building in the background. Since it is shared with the skeet range, only one range can be used at a time. Do not use the building as a target or target holder.

· Report any unusual incident or circumstance to Club Officers immediately.

Parking for skeet range is on the 100 yard range.

Your line of sight should always be perpendicular to the target line resulting in bullets impacting in earth berm behind the target line. 

· Always verify that the firing line is clear before checking or hanging a target. Coordinate hanging and removing of targets with other shooters. Always check down range before firing to see that range is clear. 

· Remove and discard all old targets after use.  Preferably, take them home with you.

· Do not throw live ammunition or powder containers in trashcans.

· Beverage cans may be used as targets only if they are placed on the dirt bank behind the 50 yard target line. Cans must, of course, be discarded after use.

· Absolutely no one allowed beyond the targets when shooters are present on the 50 and/or 100 yard ranges.

· Shooting permitted only in designated areas.

· Absolutely no shooting across any road.

· No alcoholic beverages permitted on ranges.

· Wear your membership badge at all times on club property.

· Use range at your own risk.

· You must fill out the shooting log sheet when you use the ranges.

· Eye and ear protection required on all ranges.
